This is a Full-Time position located at 108th and Greenfield Ave in West Allis, WI.


Consumer Mortgage Loan Closer - Full Time
Responsible for preparation of mortgage loan closing documents for all consumer mortgage loan products, including investor loans. Additionally, responsible for managing a pipeline to ensure all loans are closed in a timely manner and in accordance with the company's and investor's requirements. Requires an understanding of mortgage closing. This level of experience is normally acquired during two years of experience in a residential mortgage department or other relevant experience in the financial services industry.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

May perform any or all of the following:

  1. Prepare loan closing documents using Mortgagebot/IDS or LaserPro in accordance with compliance guidelines.
  2. Review loan file for completeness and in accordance with underwriter’s approval prior to preparation of closing package.
  3. Monitor high cost loans and TRID regulations including review of the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure for accuracy and adherence to the 0% and 10% tolerance rules.
  4. Communicate professionally and proactively with all internal and external parties involved in the loan closing to avoid and/or resolve problems at closing.
  5. Accurately prepare Adverse Action notices.
  6. All other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of high school.
  2. Requires an understanding of mortgage closing. This level of experience is normally acquired during two years of experience in a residential mortgage department or other relevant experience in the financial services industry.
  3. Demonstrate understanding of federal and state consumer compliance regulations as they relate to disclosing and closing residential mortgage loans.
  4. Very good organization and communication skills. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments, work independently, remember and recall a wide variety of information regarding consumer mortgage lending requirements.
  5. The ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain a high level of energy.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer files.
  7. Requires constant alertness and continuous mental application where attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

Must be able to operate computer and other office machines such a fax, calculator, telephone and photocopier.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires prolonged sitting. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

Must complete responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner on a regular basis. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position. Must be capable of prolonged periods of concentration.
